The fiendish musical claw
of the band
THE ORDEAL, founded by
frontman
Oliver Oppermann, descends
upon us with a vengeance,
shredding the thin skin
of reality.
Influenced the great
heavy bands of the 70s,
the band was established
in 2002, in an era overwhelmed by uninspired,
commercial and standardized computer music.
Burning guitar riffs and virtuoso solos over a
whipping heavy bass
and drum section push the mystical lyrics and
melodic voice of
The Ordeal
straight into the middle of
your musical senses. |

Kay Reuter
Discovered the drums at the age of 1, but changed three years later to the guitar and soon became a wanted man in the Hanover scene. At 15 he had already played for "Viva", at 20 he entered "Jane" and toured through Germany and Switzerland. He soon became a true guitar hero, trained like a madman and harvested the fruits of his work: a tour through Japan with Fair Warning in the year 2000, countless gigs with the Jutta Weinhold band and musical productions. Regular jobs in the studio stabilized his reputation as one of the best guitar players in the metal capital Hanover. Musical influences: Tommi Bolin, Steve Vai, John Ulrich Roth, Gary Moore, Joe Satriani, Neil Schon and Steve Lukather.
