The fiendish musical claw of the band THE ORDEAL, founded by frontman Oliver Oppermann, descends upon us with a vengeance, shredding the thin skin of reality.

Influenced the great heavy bands of the 70s, the band was established in 2002, in an era overwhelmed by uninspired, commercial and standardized computer music.

Burning guitar riffs and virtuoso solos over a whipping heavy bass and drum section push the mystical lyrics and melodic voice of
The Ordeal straight into the middle of your musical senses.

Phillipe Candas

Was already playing the drums when he was eight years old and since then he has simply divided his life into the rhythmic and the not rhythmic. When he was 11 his first stage debut was such a success, that he decided to earn his living with two sticks in his hands. He has lived in Germany since he was 19 and even here it did not take him very long to become successful. Between 1994-5 he founded the band "Zino" with some friends from which the well known group "Fair warning" later developed. "Fair Warning" did huge tours throughout Europe between 1995-7 and Japan (98). After he left the band, Hannes Bauer, the ex guitar player for Udo Lindenberg, employed him for his orchestra Gnadenlos, with which he still plays on stage. His musical influences are varied, everything from Rachmaninow to Zappa.
