The fiendish musical claw
of the band
THE ORDEAL, founded by
frontman
Oliver Oppermann, descends
upon us with a vengeance,
shredding the thin skin
of reality.
Influenced the great
heavy bands of the 70s,
the band was established
in 2002, in an era overwhelmed by uninspired,
commercial and standardized computer music.
Burning guitar riffs and virtuoso solos over a
whipping heavy bass
and drum section push the mystical lyrics and
melodic voice of
The Ordeal
straight into the middle of
your musical senses. |

Cyborg Haines
In the beginning was fire. Before Cy dedicated himself to music, his passion was fire eating. At 17 he discovered a more permanent life form than fire, the bass guitar. Already whilst he was also completing his studies at the musical conservatory, Arnheim, lots of bands with different styles were interested in the dark man with the hood and employed him. He played with Soon Come, accompanied Lee Scratch Perry on his European tour, and spent a long time in the cast of Marla Glen and gave the old rockers of Birth Control a solid basis for their solo adventures. He also travelled with the Jazz Club Formation "Xaver Fischer Trio" to the capitals of Europe and showed his variability on the bass. Musical influences: everything which is and was good.
